Ha sido investigador hasta el a\u00f1o 2003 en instituciones de prestigio cient\u00edfico como el Medical Research Council en Cambridge, del Centre National de Recherche Scientifique en Montpellier y Paris, y de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Barcelona.
