At the core of Sistema Matricial lies a shared vocabulary: the conical lampshade. With variations in scale and proportion—taller, wider, flatter—these structures, dressed in woven ribbon or stitched parchment, form a common visual language that flows across typologies: from table to pendant, wall to floor.
It is a fabric of relationships—a flexible and coherent matrix in which each luminaire retains its own character while connecting to others through shared components. Like the shades from Básica, also present in the SíSíSí pendant lamps.
This broad family stems from a shared vision: to uphold warmth, embrace craftsmanship as a form of modernity, and use humble materials to create refined lamps with a striking visual impact.
Its foundation dates back to the early days of Santa & Cole, when we chose to embrace what is close and handmade over the prevailing trends of the cold and the technical. A way of doing that continues to guide us today, in the pursuit of honest, enduring objects.
