Casa Sanés

Cadaqués, Spain

Designed by Bombí + Gómez
Photography by Eugeni Pons

Sanés, a Mediterranean home that radiates serenity

The Bombí + Gómez studio projects the rehabilitation of a house faithfully rooted in its surroundings, the historical centre of Cadaqués.

A renovated Casa Sanés preserves multiple elements of its original construction; preserving walls, arches and traditional vaults. The reform proposes wide and comfortable spaces, as well as a meticulous use of the three levels of the building.

The selection of natural materials such as tuff, wood or stone, strengthen the character of the place. A compositional game of textures and tones, which contrasts in the interior and exterior with the range of whites and an intense red carriage, the house's insignia.

Arranged in different rooms, a quartet of lights designed by Miguel Milá provides the combination of aesthetics and functionality. Edited in two formats, TMM is the ideal company for the edge of the sofa in its standing version or in a wall lamp for places of passage and bedrooms. A pair of M64 in a matt black finish offer a delicate focal light in the dining area. Completing the set, Cesta, the result of craft work composed of an opaline balloon and a cherry wood structure. The lamp-object created by Milá in the 1960s captivates by its uniqueness.
