We all draw in our earliest childhood; from the moment we learn to hold a pencil or sketch our first creations in the sand. Sketching involves looking, observing, holding something in one’s memory and, almost subconsciously, turning it into a drawing.
This process in Isamat develops at a lingering pace, as he is a calm draftsman in observation and action alike. He tends to be reserved and does not reveal his prior experience until he has decided on a series. For him, sharing is drawing.
His series are random drawings of elements that have caught his attention: objects or everyday scenes, such as as the sea, the reticular constructions of climbing plants or the visions of landscapes that inhabit his memory.
