Dough Pizza
Westfield Whitford City, Australia
A tribute to rustic sophistication
Developed by Ohlo Studio, this project highlights a sense of timelessness. Located in Westfield Whitford City shopping centre, in Hillarys (Australia), this restaurant with contemporary lines configures a casual, fresh identity.
Beach sequences, manifesto of lightness. The venue advocates a relaxed lifestyle and offers a menu inspired by the recipes and traditions of southern Italy. The dynamic restaurant front reveals the options the establishment offers, designed around a large central counter. Dough Pizza’s design concentrates geometric shapes and uses a careful selection of objects and materials of sustainable origin. A fine palette of earth colours emphasises whites and off-whites.
In perfect symmetry, the Básica Mínima table lamp creates points of reference and intimacy at the counter. Designed in 1994, it expresses a more craftsman-like and familiar modernity. Combining solidity and lightness, it champions a return to natural materials. It is a tribute to warmth, providing a very special light intensity.
The Ramón chair integrates naturally into the space, in its hand-woven, white marrow version. Users luxuriate in the support and ample comfort of this piece, thanks to its meaningful X-shaped structure.
An informal venue where the boundaries between the pleasures of eating and cooking are blurred.
