Javier Ferrándiz

Ferrándiz graduated in architecture from the ETSAB (School of Architecture of Barcelona.) In 1998, he became a professor at the Projects Chair Department. He also works as a consultant architect of the UPC on urban development for the city of l Hospitalet (Barcelona).

"Designing, imagining, drawing, reducing, making bigger, changing one s mind iron, glass, wood, stone a pan-head screw making a fresh start running away from the object that has trapped us: the thrill of inventing". This is, in Ferrándiz s words, the process that has led him to design the Rambla wastebasket, edited in 1993 by Santa & Cole, and a sign for camping areas for the Government de Catalunya.

Ferrándiz has also promoted and written articles on architecture and urban design in many Spanish publications.
