Lámina es un extenso sistema que defiende las bondades de la luz reflejada utilizando formas sencillas y evidentes que nada esconden y todo muestran.
Una línea de luz se proyecta sobre una fina hoja de aluminio, que la revierte en múltiples direcciones, generando un alto confort visual. Esta cualidad lumínica ya fue celebrada en 1907 por Mariano Fortuny Madrazo con su célebre lámpara homónima, todavía hoy en producción, que el pintor consideraba imprescindible para acertar con el color justo.
Lámina nació en volandas como una colección de lámparas de suspensión, para luego aterrizar en suelos, paredes y sobremesas. Los números que suceden al nombre se corresponden a la longitud de sus pantallas: blanca y curvada en su versión clásica, o con el arco al ras y un color dorado para los más atrevidos.
Esta familia de evocaciones escultóricas logra un equilibrio perfecto entre poesía y razón, pureza formal y virtud funcional, iluminando con eficiencia y una calidad sorprendente. Las distintas categorías se complementan entre sí, mientras que la versión de suspensión sigue funcionando tanto de forma individual como formando un sistema lineal, o incluso en composiciones agrupadas que juegan con distintas dimensiones y alturas.

The possibilities of Tekiò
Tekiò, “adaptation” in Japanese, fuses ancient techniques with Dim to Warm LED technology, which allows the light to be regulated in intensity and colour temperature. Created by Anthony Dickens, this unique contemporary lamp is a contrast between the ancestral and the avant-garde.
Washi paper
This paper, which dates back to the 14th century, has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Washi is resistant and ductile, even malleable, and shades the light with texture, creating moments of pause.

Inspiration for Anthony Dickens came from the traditional lantern made of Washi paper, which dates back to the 14th century. Santa & Cole, in search of expert hands, manufactures these paper shades in the Japanese city of Mito, one of the cities specialised in its production.
