Su simpatía es legendaria
El tatú, o armadillo, es un simpático mamífero provisto de un caparazón dorsal que lo protege cuando se recoge sobre sí mismo. Durante un vuelo transoceánico, entre lecturas sobre la fauna argentina y reflexionando sobre la pequeña lámpara de su asiento, cuya luz no molestaba el sueño de su esposa, André Ricard concibió este diseño que acabaría convirtiéndose en un icono del pop-art en Europa. Una lámpara orientable, que regula la potencia lumínica y que dispone de una lente para agrandar o concentrar el haz de luz.
“The idea for the Tatu lamp came about because I enjoy reading at night in bed, and this was a problem—as my wife didn’t, and the light disturbed her. There was a problem to solve. Noticing how, on airplanes, I could read at night thanks to a spotlight that illuminated only my book while everything else remained in shadow, I thought to myself: Why couldn’t this be resolved the same way at home? I looked for a standalone system that would allow me to direct a beam of light. That was the starting point for the Tatu lamp.” – André Ricard
